Jenson Button Biggest Threat To Red Bull's Crown

 

The boss of Red Bull, Christian Horner has said he feels McLaren's Jenson Button is the biggest threat to his team winning a third successive driver's and constructors championship in the coming season.

 

Horner was actually speaking about his own driver and the reigning world champion Sebastian Vettel saying the best is yet to come from him but that his quest for a third consecutive title was going to be more difficult than ever before.

 

"Seb has an unbelievable year and in the end dominated significantly. But there are some big opponents out there, with six world champions on the grid," said Horner and when asked who he thought would be the strongest rival to Vettel and his team-mate Mark Webber he simply said, "Probably Jenson."

Saints Coach and GM Apologise Over Bounty Programme

 

New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton and their general manager Mickey Loomis have both apologised for failing to stop the "bounties-for-injuries" scandal that "happened under our watch." Both Payton and Loomis made it clear that the team's owner Tom Benson had nothing to do with the bounty pool and that they take full responsibility for the scandal.

 

"We acknowledge that the violations disclosed by the NFL during their investigation of our club happened under our watch. We take full responsibility."

Rangers Will Not Compete In Europe Next Season

 

Stricken Scottish football club Rangers FC have been dealt yet another blow after the administrator in charge of the club conceeded the club will not be able to meet UEFA's March 31 accounts deadline; meaning they will not be allowed to compete in European competitions next season.

 

This latest development makes Rangers a much less attractive option for any potential takeover bid and has reignited the rumours that the Ibrox-based club could face going into liquidation.

John Wall Tell Wizards To Stop Joking Around

 

John Wall, the Washington Wizards guard, has hit out at his team mates following yesterday's 120-100 defeat at the hands of the Golden State Warriors telling them they need to take the game more serious and stop joking around.

 

Wall, a former number one overall pick in the NBA draft said in an interview, "We lost the game before we went on the court. Too much joking in the locker room, too much joking through warm-ups."
